thinwich........

I popped in to my neighborhood health food store on Sunday to see if they are anything new and delicious, and I discovered corn thins...

These things are so good and 1 thin is only 22 calories, 0 sugar, 4 carbs.
Plus it only has 3 ingredients in it. WOW

Today I made 2 thinwiches!!

INGREDIENTS : corn thins, onions, peppers,
 spinach, mustard, pickles, tomatoes
and  4 oz peppered turkey (2oz on each).

Then popped them in to the toaster oven and had the best lunch! My lunch was a whopping total of
175 calories!!

LOVEly handles....

So I go to yoga, do a weight class, go to shred and now tabata..... all which require you to use your ABBs to get through the class. We also do crunches and all sorts of movements and my ABBs rarely feel sore, (and trust me they need to be sore) until my tabata class last night.  In yoga we do plank and forearm plank all the time, sometimes even rotating our hips to get our obliques. Still not effecting me much... Well after last nights class I realize I just wasn't doing enough of them!!! Today I could barely bend over to put Owen in the car ;)

If you want to rid your self of your LOVE handles then seriously do this 3 times a week. It is the best and worst feeling!

Put your body in forearm plank, then slowly rotate your hips side to side almost touching your hip to the ground. Then move to the other side and go back and forth.  I included these images I found online so you can see the exact movement.

SLOW is better, so often we race through ABB work because we think "more" is better but actually slow and steady is better.

Do 8 rounds of 25 seconds. In between give your ABBs a rest, maybe even squeeze in 10 push up a round so that your not just sitting there waisting time !

GOOD LUCK!

asian salad.....

I love an Asian Salad and besides Pei Wei we do not have many options in Lubbock so I have to create my own.  I used to buy heads of cabbage but got sick of chopping it, so now I splurge for the pre chopped, it comes in "cole slaw" bags.  My favorite dressing is Paul Newman's Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing. It is DELICIOUS!!Also, I prefer to pre chop my veggies either Sunday or Monday and layer them in a tupperware, that way you can make a salad super quick. Then at lunch time I add the meat and dressing to keep it fresh.

INGREDIENTS:
cabbage
peanuts
frozen edemame
bellpeper
broccoli
green onion
tomato
(any other veggies you wish)
1 rotisserie chicken
Paul Newman's dressing

1) boil edamame
2) pre chop veggies
3) put in tupperware and top with edamame
4)in a separate container store all the white meat chicken

Then server you self some LUNCH!

sting ray please..........

This weekend we went out to support the Lubbock Arts festival and I came across a must have belt. It is ABSOLUTELY on my WISH list!!!  It is the perfect retro mint green, dyed sting ray.  So, I had to share this Austin designer with you guys. Her name is Leighelena, click here for website. Her specialty skin belts come in around 350 bucks but she has bracelets and earrings made from exotic skins that only cost around 100.   Her products are amazing.

I originally fell in LOVE with string ray when I purchased my first bangle from Robyn Brooks New York. She is a sister of one of my best friends. She has everything from lamp bases, necklaces, bangles, clutches and picture frames. They can be made out of string ray, cork and snakeskin.  I pretty much do not leave the house with out one of her bangles on. She has different widths and colors which makes it fun to mix and match.

I hope you guys take the time to check out both these designers and maybe even treat yourself to a little something.... It is worth every penny!

HAPPY SHOPPING
